Toenail Fungus

A nail fungus infection (onychomycosis) is a medical condition that leaves many people embarrassed about the appearance of their feet. Left untreated, a toenail fungus virtually never goes away on its own and can eat away at the toenail, nail bed and matrix. Onychomycosis is a progressive fungal infection that lies beneath the toenail with symptoms that can include:

  • thickening of the nails
  • discoloration (yellow streaks)
  • brittle toenails
  • dark skin under nail
  • separation from the nail bed
  • flaking layers of toenail

If you are tired of fighting toenail fungus, request an appointment online or call Coastal Podiatry & Wound Care at (904) 265-0470 to learn more about  treatments for fungal infections.
