JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 8, 2019 – Cynthia Correa-Cedeno, DPM, has joined the staff at Coastal Podiatry and Wound Care, joining Dr. Timothy Syperek to provide foot and ankle care for local patients.
Dr. Correa-Cedeno served as chief resident of her podiatric medicine program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center here in Jacksonville, displaying leadership and research skills to enhance both her personal practice and her training program. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State College in Kent, Ohio.
Dr. Correa-Cedeno has completed extensive research in alternatives to proximal limb amputation as well as in ways that rare cancers may mask as chronic plantar fasciitis. She has also participated in multiple continuing medical education conferences and meetings, including sessions on foot and ankle surgery.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Dr. Correa-Cedeno is passionate about serving the local community.
